This is the same Paralegal Chat site, but it's being revamped, upgraded and re-branded as Paralegal City.

The owner is an attorney who provides this resource at his own expense as a way to give back to the paralegal community in which he started. Please bear with us during the transition.

The new forum apparently has harvested our e-mail addresses and is sending us an e-mail every time someone posts to the forum. I have looked through all the profile/account settings I could find and there does not seem to be an option to allow users to select whether or not they want to receive e-mails from the forum and how frequently. This is a standard option on every other forum I've subscribed to and should be here.

First, there was no "harvesting." This is the same site which is in the process of being revamped. paralegalchat.com now points to paralegalcity.com and the software is being updated but if you'll poke around a little, you'll see that it is the same forum, in the process of being improved.

I have asked Shekhar (the owner) to disable all emailing functions for the time being. That will probably result in the "subscribe to new posts" feature not working for a little while but I think that is the lesser of the evils.

I apologize for the troubles. These things always take longer and are more complicated than expected and we appreciate your patience.

I am also getting emails everytime someone posts to the site.

Folks, I'm really sorry about the emails and I'd turn it off if I could! Shekar has out-of-town family visiting but I'm sure he'll deal with it just as soon as he possibly can.
